Sister Mary Gailes can offer advice
on which vaccinations are
recommended for the area that you
wish to visit during a travel
clinic. Please ask at reception for
an information sheet and form to
fill in details of your planned
travel whilst at the same time
booking an appointment for your
travel clinic.
It is best to enquire
at least 8 weeks before planned
departure as some destinations
require several courses of
vaccinations to be given. Not all
vaccines for foreign travel are
covered by the NHS and in these
cases the surgery will need to buy
in the vaccines for your
requirements. A charge will be made
for such vaccines but you will be
informed of this when you attend
your travel clinic appointment.
We
regret that no such vaccinations can
be given unless payment in full is
made prior to your appointment with
the nurse. For further information
on the above clinics please ask at
reception.

Thursday morning from 8:30 – 11:30.

Secretary.

every Monday and Friday each week,
the waiting list and arranging of
appointments is managed by the
Primary Care Trust.

by your GP this service is managed
by Kathryn McCheyne, District Nurse
